What is DTF Printing?

DTF stands for Direct-To-Film, this form of printing has been around for a while now and is a better alternative to the regular screen printing*.

In recent time DTF printing and DTF printers have become a popular service here in the US.

There are multiple types of DTF printing available in the market at this point, each of which suits different needs. The DTF printer prints the designs on a transfer sheet and then using a heat press you can transfer that design on any type of material.

The most common use for these is for custom t-shirt printing

We at Brick City Transfers offer high quality DTF Prints at affordable rates. To order please visit out website www.brickcitytransfers.com or contact us on (848) 242 3077.

Steps of DTF printing !!

DTF printer requires special water based inks that are used to print out the designs.

First the ink is filled in the cartridges and the transfer paper is fed to the machine from the back and guided onto the printing platform.

Different DTF Printers have different setups for how the paper is run through the complete printer.

After the DTF Printer has been setup then using the software a gang sheet is made that is then saved as a PRT file in the PC.

That file is then used in the printing software and the print is sent to the DTF Printer.

We can connect the DTF Printer to the PC using different communications tools like using Bluetooth or using the ethernet wire.

The DTF Printer prints out the designs and get them rolled on a roll that is later taken out and the designs are then cut individually.

The last step involves using the heat press and transferring the design onto the material being used.
